Heritage Trail~

10:09 AM

Morning, sunshine! =D What a beautiful day today. weee~ Perfect for blogging. Lol. XD Um, right. Yesterday my friends and I went for the heritage trail around Georgetown by foot. Our main objective is to complete our civics project, because we are kind of running out of time. This project is due in..2 weeks time? um, yeah. AND we are having our exams soon. And why did we start so late, you say? Why oh why, because our BELOVED teacher, informed us bout this project just, last month. Hahaha, and you know what's the duration of this project? Feb - May. Lol. Just great ya?

So, um, my group members consist of.. well, all the Chinese girls in 4 Arif. Weird. We're kinda anti-social i guess. -.- Okay, so there's Tania, Pei Li, Sonia, Julia, Stephanie, Eureka and I. =D All of us are supposed to go together, walk around town together. But, Pei Li's leg was injured the day before. Cuz she was playing football with the guys and.. yeah she was limping. So she couldn't make it. One down. Anyways, we couldn't delay anymore so we had to go!

I left the house around 7.30 and went to school and fetched Julia and Steph, and we are off to Fort Cornwallis. =D However, malang tidak berbau. We did not know what time Fort Cornwallis starts its 'business'. The doors were CLOSED.

We checked out the time.

Oh crap, and it says it opens at 9.00. -.- We had 40 minutes to kill. So we decided to walk around the corner to the Dewan Undangan negeri. Which is our first stop. Sort of.

Ta-daa~ the Dewan Undangan Negeri, Clock Tower and the wasting money Buah Pinang.
And then, we went to the front entrance of Fort Cornwallis. Which is still closed of course.Sonia. Pointing at the sign thingy. Group photo! =D
And then..haaaaa~(holy sound) XD Open sesame at 9.05. -.-

Yeap, we had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun. XD Next!

Mahkamah Tinggi.

Oh crap, o.O i forgot the name of this building. -.-

It says, closed on every Fridays. Tough luck.

Church of the Assumption. We didn't dare to go near the entrance as there were people sleeping at the stairs. Actually, we saw alot of sleeping people along the way.

Carpenter's Guild.

This is, uh..Goldsmith's guild? I'm not sure. -.-

Hainan temple. Just Beautiful. I'm proud to be a hainanese. =P

Masjid Benggali.

The Chocolate Boutique! Aahh!!!^^ Is this heaven? This is not part of the heritage trail, but we were like, what the hell. Let's go! XD They don't allow us to take photos inside. So, you have to go and see for yourselves! =D They give you a lot of free samples. We sampled so much that we were embarassed that we're not gonna buy anything. So we ended up buying 2 bars of chocolate. We shared it among 6 ppl. It costs RM 16.20. =P

Cheong Fat Tze Mansion. Expensive entry fees. RM 12. We didn't go in. =x

Uh..Somebody's residence. I mean, somebody famous. i guess?

Protestant Cemetry. Very peaceful place. I love the scenery there. The trees create an eerie calm atmosphere. Hmm..Rest in peace. =)

By now, we are really exhausted. I don't know how many kilometres we went through, but it felt like.. miles to me. -.- If Pei Li was there, i can imagine her going,'Walk, people! WALK!!' Plus, my feet were killing me. So, thank god, LUNCH TIME!!! Yay!!^^ Chicken rice ROCKS!
That's Steph at the back. Haha. She looked like she's gonna grab the whole plate. =P

Ah, after lunch, we are fully charged again. We went to a mosque. Yeah, yeah, i forgot the name again.

Yap Kongsi.

Sun Yat Sen's base? You know, the guy in history that brought the Chinese people together. According to the lady there, they held all the meetings discreetly here. =D And there's a hundred year old safe in here. I saw it. =P

Masjid Melayu (Jamek) Lebuh Acheh Pulau Pinang

Cheah Kongsi a.k.a. My Company. =P

Exhausted, but happy. =) I had fun. ^^ We should do this more often. =D Well, I felt like we've walked bout 50 km. But when i asked my dad, he said, huh? bout 10 km only kua.. I was like, WHAT!! NO WAY!! -.- anyways, i don't care. must be at least 20 km. =P Come on man, i have to give credit to myself. blek~ We walked half of Georgetown okayy... hmph. Anyways, if you guys wanna go on this adventure, please do not contact me. Haha, i have no sense of direction. Ask Tania. =D

Outcome of this activity :
Had fun, Gained experience, Sore legs, Had a throbbing headache at the end of the day and had to go to add math tuition with a freakin headache -.- , most importantly, WE ROCK!
