Café hopping.

Our first stop was at Love Bites along Nagore Road. It was pretty easy to find but I think we were a little too blind! XD if you've been to Piknik, it's just two doors away from it. The signboard is pretty big, but we somehow missed it and had to go around the place a few times.

We arrived around 12 pm, which is pretty early for lunch time. The cafe was empty, and we were greeted warmly by the waiter. He speaks good English and has good manners and we were really satisfied with the service. :)
Apple Yogurt.
It has a really creamy base to it, and I like it that the yogurt taste is finished with the apple flavor.
Pasta Al Fungi.
It smells like Hokkien Char initially, but actually tastes pretty good. There are a few types of mushroom; button, oyster, enoki.
Choco Toast.
The bread is crispy even on the inside, and the ice cream makes the bread smooth to the throat. The black thing by the side is a sesame-coated marshmallow.
Next stop was the Haven Harbor in the Chime Heritage building. :) it's the corner lot! The interior is pretty simple with a bar for drinks and the kitchen is located further at the back. A few tables are laid out but the cafe is pretty small.
We only had desserts here, because we were aiming to go for more cafés! XD clockwise from top left; Penang Island (egg white with milk? With avocado, honeydew, kiwi & strawberries), Cafe Affogato (the white thing is actually vanilla ice cream), hot Belgium Chocolate and last but not least, Chime Brûlée. I personally love creme brûlées, this one is pretty nice but nothing special about it.
Our last stop is Roti Bean which is at Chulia Street. :D it's a small cosy cafe with reasonable prices which I'm really happy about. You have to go upstairs for more tables and the tables have this really cute checkered picnic table cloths. Prepare for more mouth-watering foods!
Smoked salmon egg's Benedict.
Holy crap! It tastes abit funky and I don't even really know what it is, but it's good! Funky-good. :D the hollandaise sauce blankets the salmon and bread nicely while the mashed potatoes are cooked just nice. :)
Garlic toast with half-boiled egg, which is pretty nice as well.
The garlic flavor is prominent so that's good. :D
We had a little bit of everything and it was  really satisfying! Nyammmm!

Maleficent

Here it is! The prettiest villain ever created. It was really a good movie. Perfect for those Disney fans out there. Ahem, SPOILER ALERT k! Angelina Jolie as Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent. :D She had green speckled with blue eyes, high cheekbones, elven ears and surreal porcelain skin that just perfected her whole look. During her make up process, they were really trying their best to make her look evil, because somehow she's always turning out to be too pretty. XD Adorned in her black suit, her two evil horns completed her fairy look. Anyway, I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would. =)

Hari Gawai

This year, I managed to snab a chance to celebrate Hari Gawai in Sarawak! Not bad eh? My first year here and I'm already visiting kampungs around! :D This is actually Joshua's uncle's kampung in Serian, and they were super hospitable, preparing food for us and lending us the comfort of their homes for us to rest. The significance of Hari Gawai is actually to celebrate their harvest from their plantations. In this modern day, not many of these kampungs have plantations anymore. But they still celebrate Hari Gawai every year as a symbolic tradition of their culture.

I'm back.

Hello, peeps. Guess who's back? :D I don't know what drove me to resurrect my blog again, but I guess I miss writing a lot and it's one of my passions in life. Plus, I'm driven by the global issues that I've studied in class and I figured I'd like to share what I know with people. Though, I know nobody would really stumble upon my blog what with the change of URL and my last post is... one year ago! Weeee. :P Note the change in layout, of course, I stole it. Credits to whoever-that-guy is. But, I love it a lot. So thank you! Hope I'd be updating this often enough. =) Anyhow, there's still many things I'd like to add to my blog, so, wait up!

For the love of writing, :)

results.

This has got to be one of the lowest moments in my life, not getting what I expect to get. My results are actually not bad, it's just not good enough. Lol, yeah, I guess I push myself too much sometimes. I just keep thinking, damn, I've spent almost two years studying for this exam, and all I could do was this? REALLY? Is that all I've got? I can't say that I could've done MUCH better if I actually put all my effort in it, it's just that I know I did study, but one time or other, I did give up many many times cuz there were so much to study and so little time to spare. Admission to private unis should be no problem, most of them only require a 2.5 CGPA, which I definitely exceeded! :P

second day of CNY.

Second day was not as fun as the first day, but it was alright. :) Daddy had to go back to work already and Clemence can't wake up. -.- sigh, too nany nights of partying i tell you. Just a few shots before going to grandpa's for lunch again. :) I heard today's food is even better than yesterday's!

first day of CNY.

Good morning, peeps! :D Every first day of new year, I'll be too excited to sleep, cuz I just wanan get angpaos, wear new clothes and meet my relatives! :D However, this year, my brothers went out partying till pretty late, they can't wake up. -.- Our annual tea ceremony was slightly delayed. Anyhow, got on with it, and recieved my first red packet from my parents. =D

reunion Lunch & Dinner.

This year's new year was bound to be more exciting with both of my brothers back to celebrate. I miss them, honestly. They're all grown up now so they're working and they can hardly come home. So i was pretty excited for them to be back home. :D As usual, we have double reunion meals ; lunch & dinner. Lunch at my dad's side, dinner at my mum's side. All the pictures were captured and edited by my big bro. I didn't take many pics cuz well, my camera's not as pro, and there were really more than enough cameras around. XD

Lunchtime!

heritage trail volume II

Here are more pictures from Tania's DSLR! =D She's a pretty amazing photographer, most of the pics I post here contain my face, cuz my cam has less pics of me XD I stole them from Facebook, so blame Facebook for its grainy quality. =P For more pictures from Tania, click here! =D pictures are not in chronological order. =) lazy to arrange XD

heritage trail volume I

This is a belated post of my heritage trail in Georgetown on 2nd January, which is also the first day of school for kids! :D For the second time, (after SPM was the first) I don't have to go to school anymore. And this time, it's for good. =) so glad to have this trip cuz it's also the last day of freedom i have before i start working, more bout my working life next time! XD ALL the pics here are taken with my Canon S95. =D More pictures here. =)

winter warmers.

act cute!! =P haha, this date is because i'm gonna start work soon. =/ sobs. HAIHH gonna miss you! oops,
um, supposed to post this yesterday. it happened yesterday. XD

feels good.

If y'all don't know me, I'm an extremely lazy person. -.- don't get me wrong, I like work. But I just don't like doing it. Sounds funny, but I like it when I keep myself busy and just keep doing something to keep me occupied, but I don't like HARD WORK. XD What don't I like, you ask? Maybe like using my brain. -.- lol, I hate it when I bump into hard questions. I'll just end up copying the answers cuz im too lazy to think. Same goes for exercising, I haven't sweat it out for months. -.- but today, o miracle day, I went out for a jog and even exercised. :D it felt damn good.

third anniversary.

It's been awhile since I've blogged before Skyfall, but i'm not gonna give up this chance to blog about my third anniversary! =D we didn't do anything special today, but hopefully we'll celebrate it soon! XD YAY so exciting. :D can't believe it's been three years and we're still going strong. There were many bumps along the road, but we've managed to go through it and last till today. I really hope there will be a 4th anniversary, cuz next yr would be tough. We're going different ways and we won't see each other as much. Next year is University year! =) Gonna take this opportunity to post some pictures of us. =D

Olympics.

This year's Olympic games are in LONDON. :D and eventhough I don't play sports, I still like to watch it to get in the fun! :D It is pretty exciting after all. And i'm rooting for Malaysia!! but.. of course it's tough on Malaysia with all the Godly talents around the world. XD As a Malaysian, I'm proud of all the athletes especially Lee Chong Wei and Pandalela for doing such a great job! and all of the other athletes that tried their best and went in to finals and everything, thanks alot for trying. =) Here are Google Doodles  that I've collected along the Olympic period. Enjoy! =)

the Hunger Games.

I know it's a little too late, but I just watched Hunger Games today. Haha, I've already known how the story goes cuz I read the book a few years back. I just really wanna watch it because the book was so awesome. ESPECIALLY the 1st book! Damn, I loveeeeeeeeeeeee the whole Hunger Games concept. Such an out of the world idea. Thanks Suzanne Collins. =) However, the movie was somewhat a little disappointing. Or quite a lot. =x The whole movie was just really SLOWWWW. -.- and I thought they would feature loads of fighting and action combats because well, THAT's the exciting part. but too bad they focused more on the love story between Katniss and Peeta. =/ anyhow, i tot it was okay besides the fact that it's really slow. Casting's nice. and i find the way they film the movie very artistic. Not the typical way a movie is usually shot, see it for yourself in the movie. =)

Katniss during the reaping. Jennifer Lawrence. She's pretty. =D

One of the best parts of this movie, Liam Hemsworth. :O :O :O :O Gale.

The Girl on Fire.

ohmygoshh so hot!! rawr. lucky Miley Cyrus. -.- lol, sorry there's zero pictures of Peeta. I don't find him as hot. XD haha.

The cast of The Hunger Games. May the odds be ever in your favor.

fasting.

whose brilliant idea is it that we FAST for about almost a month from FACEBOOK, TWITTER & INSTAGRAM? yours truly. =) lol. shit, it's wayyyy easier said than done since our lives are pretty much revolved around those things. only on Sundays we are allowed to access all these social media stuff. =/ but if we succeed, we'll have PLENTY of time in our hands to finally study. her finals are near, and my trials are near. so both of us need that extra boost to help us go through this now.
*crossed fingers* please let us make it. =)
And we are all stories, in the end.
